The NEW site design

Welcome to the newly designed website. I've tried to take freshen up the layout, borrowing some of the formatting from the blogger templates. You'll also notice that I've changed the photo publishing mechanism from manually posting to blogging, so that should be a little faster too. I hope you enjoy the changes, and as always, please feel free to give me feedback. Thanks!

Open Letter to President Bush

I had the opportunity to read a very impressive and touching letter written to President Bush. The letter was authored by Doug Fairbairn, Krista's uncle. It is well thought out and articulated, and raises some extremely compelling issues. I would encourage everyone to read it.

My first Premier

I had the pleasure of seeing former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev today at Google. Mr. Gorbachev was invited as a guest speaker on the Google campus in Mt. View. There was a large crowd filling the auditorium.

Mr. Gorbachev spoke about his new Green Cross environmental initiaitive, as well as responding to questions asked by Google CEO Eric Schmidt about the world stage, politics, and his leadership and background. It was an amazing experience to be so close to someone who had done so much for shaping the world as we know it today. I found myself thinking how lucky I am to get to experience such things, and hoping that more influential leaders like him will follow, to restore this country and our world to a unified, peaceful existence.

Maybe I do have something to say!

Now that I'm working for Google, I suddenly feel compelled to use more of the consumer products that Google offers. And so, I enter into the world of blogging. This is my first attempt. When asked why I don't blog, my response is usually "I don't think I have anything good to say." Although most people agree with me, I am still compelled to try anyways. Stay tuned for more useless ramblings.
