Swing'in

Alexandra just keeps getting bigger, saying more funny things, and playing up a storm! I'm stunned by this picture where she looks about 10 years old. Look at that form! Yup, dad taught her everything she knows ;-)

We are slightly worried that even though she is only 21 months (next week) old, that Alex is prematurely aging to about the 2 year old range. I'm sure it has nothing to do with Grandmas spoiling her the past few weeks, or this new sister thing she has going on. We'll monitor the situation and see how things progress.

Not blogging enough?

When I started working at Google a few years ago, I was confronted with this "blog" thing. I knew what a blog was, but struggled with why I would need one or how it was useful to me. Frankly, I just don't think I have that much to say. However, I was having dinner with LJ and Sameer last night, and they commented that we aren't posting enough. For the record, I'm a few years ahead of all of you :-) even though most of my posts are just links to photos albums.

I do post regularly for work, where I generally do have something to say. And we'll try and post a little bit more frequently. Maybe we'll even get Alex to do some writing, when she's not tickling Reese. Some blogs of mention, from you friends that do post are:

We'll keep posting photos, but now I'm thinking maybe we should post them on the home page instead of the photos page, so we keep traffic all going to the same place? Let me know what you think, consolidate or no? (By the way, I also posted some more photos on the photos page.)

Welcome home Reese!

On this joyous day, Reese came home from the hospital. First order of business was to be held by Honey (Grandma Fairbairn). And then the celebratory banana was eaten. Check out the whole show, including her first bath last night.

One Week!

Reese is now one week old, and doing very well. Although she still enjoys the plush life at Kaiser (constant care and attention, tanning beds, experienced nurses waiting on her hand and foot) we're anxiously awaiting her homecoming. Keep your fingers crossed!

Welcome Reese Angela Glotzbach!

And so the sibling rivalry begins. Not to be outdone by her sister Alexandra who was born 2 weeks early, Reese Angela decided to come a full 5 weeks ahead of plan! After an innocent enough phone call earlier in the day from Krista saying, "I'm having some contractions, but I'm sure its nothing..."

... Reese Angela Glotzbach was born on Friday August 4, 2006 at 8:11pm weighing a mere 5 pounds 5 ounces and a full 19 inches long. Although the doctors are keeping a close eye on her to make sure all is well, she is doing wonderfully as is Mom (aka Krista). Alexandra will get to meet her new baby sister tomorrow morning, and I'm sure she is very excited!
