Every now and then (more often lately it would seem) I think to myself, "why didn't I think of that?" Well, yesterday was one of those days. Mommy, Daddy, Alex, Reese, Sadie and Marla (Green) attended our first "Baby Loves Disco" party in San Francisco.
Here's how it works. You buy tickets, way in advance because they regularly sell out, for $15 per person. Anyone who can walk must pay the admission fee. You then show up at a trendy San Francisco night club, in this case Ruby Skye, and boogie the afternoon away. The DJ mixes up clean dance tunes from the 70's and 80's. Kiddos enjoy the music, lights, bubble machines, and hula hoop heaven while the parents enjoy drinks and dancing.
And guess what, it was a BLAST. It was so much fun watching the kids dance and groove to the tunes. The DJ took his job very seriously, making sure we never were absent a beat. Check out the pictures. And if you have a nightclub somewhere in your area that has a lot of Saturday afternoon downtime, you might give it a try. Based on the sell-out crowds in SF, it seems a popular concept.
